Philanthropist At Work
Meet Evan Quarton: patient and philanthropist
In a world motivated by corporate pursuits and individual ambitions, examples of generosity and selflessness are needed to inspire hearts and minds.
Such is the story of Evan Quarton, a man whose journey from the corporate world and private investor to the realm of philanthropy has inspired others to become more involved in charitable giving. Now a retired chemical engineer, Mr. Quarton has found a new calling as a “philanthropic investor” of Deborah Hospital Foundation.
Quarton’s decision to financially support Deborah stems from a deeply personal connection. “The reason I give to Deborah is simple – they cared for my wife Irene, giving us an additional 20 years together. For that I am forever grateful!”
With Irene’s life-altering experience, Evan became enthralled by Deborah’s mission and vision. “I recognized the critical importance of having a high quality specialty care hospital here in New Jersey.” His philanthropic efforts have a tangible impact allowing Deborah to continue to incorporate the most advanced diagnostic technologies, innovative surgical techniques, and contemporary campus enhancements. “My wife and I believed in the importance of giving back to our community, especially one as deserving as Deborah. I’ve been fortunate in my life, and I want to make sure others have access to the care they need.”
Through his staunch commitment, he exemplifies the power of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others. “Mr. Quarton’s personal commitment to supporting Deborah Hospital Foundation is truly inspiring,” says Joseph Manni, Deborah’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “His generosity allows us to expand our services, reaching more patients in need, and we all are incredibly grateful for his continued support.”
As Evan Quarton continues his philanthropic journey, his benevolence serves as a testament to the transformative power of giving, creating a shining example of compassion and altruism. His dedication to making a difference reminds us all of the profound impact one individual can have on the world around them.
